We dispatch orders within two working days. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. Dispatch time is separate from the time the postal service takes to deliver your parcel.

Delivery to the UK

UK postage costs £2.85 per order using Royal Mail Tracked 48. The charge is the same whether you buy one coin or one hundred.

Tracked 48 is the name of the delivery service. It is not a guaranteed arrival date. Any delivery estimate shown at checkout or by the carrier should be read alongside the dispatch time above.

International delivery

International delivery costs £11.99 per order for destinations available at checkout. Select the international delivery option when ordering. If your address is not offered a delivery service, contact us before placing an order.

Transit times vary by destination, and customs checks can cause delays. Import duties, local taxes or carrier customs-handling charges may be payable by the recipient where these have not already been collected at checkout. Your local customs authority can explain the charges that may apply. This does not exclude any tax or other obligation that the law places on us.

Delivery addresses

We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes. Please provide a complete delivery address and check it before paying. If you spot an error, email hello@copescoins.com as soon as possible. We will help where we can, although an address may be difficult to change once a parcel has been dispatched.

Dispatch confirmation and tracking

We send a dispatch notification with tracking details when your order is shipped. Tracking information may take time to appear on the carrier's system. Contact us if the tracking does not update or your parcel has not arrived as expected.

Delayed, missing or damaged deliveries

Please contact us about a delivery problem so we can investigate with the carrier. We remain responsible for the goods until you, or someone you nominate to receive them, takes physical possession. You do not have to resolve a claim with the carrier yourself before contacting us.

Unless we agree a different delivery period with you, goods must be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract. Your legal rights where delivery is late, refused, lost or damaged are unaffected. We will provide the refund, replacement or other remedy required by law.

We offer 30-day returns on our coins. If you change your mind, tell us within 30 days after delivery. You pay the return postage, and we do not charge a restocking fee. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Starting a return

Email hello@copescoins.com with your order number or another proof of purchase and the coins you wish to return. You do not need to give a reason for a change-of-mind return. You can also write to Copes Coins, 433 Bolton Road, Kearsley, Bolton, BL4 8NH, United Kingdom.

You can also request a return through your Copes Coins account. Signing in is optional; email or post is sufficient.

We will explain how to return your order. Your notice of cancellation does not depend on our approval, and you do not have to use a particular form. If an order arrives in separate deliveries, the 30-day period starts when you receive the last item.

Send the coins back within 14 days after telling us you are returning them. Use the return address we provide. If no separate return address has been provided, use our contact address above. Pack the coins securely and keep proof of posting.

Return postage and fees

You are responsible for the direct cost of posting a change-of-mind return. There is no restocking or refund administration fee.

If a coin is faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrect or not as described, we will cover the reasonable return costs. Contact us so we can arrange the appropriate return method.

Handling your coins

You may inspect your coins as you would in a shop. Handle them carefully and do not clean, polish or alter them. Please include any packaging supplied where possible, but missing packaging alone does not remove your statutory cancellation rights.

For a change-of-mind return, we may make a deduction only where the law permits it for an actual loss in value caused by handling beyond what was necessary to inspect the goods. We will explain any such deduction. This is not a fixed fee or a penalty for returning an order.

Faulty or incorrect coins

Please tell us if something is wrong so we can put it right. A coin must match its description and meet the standards required by consumer law. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement or another legal remedy. These rights are not limited to our 30-day change-of-mind window.

Refund amount and timing

We refund the amount paid for the returned coins to the original payment method, unless you agree otherwise. For a change-of-mind cancellation, we will make the refund without undue delay and within 14 days after receiving the coins back or receiving evidence that you sent them back, whichever happens first. Your payment provider may take additional time to display the credit.

Where you are entitled to a refund for rejected faulty or misdescribed goods, we will refund without undue delay and within 14 days after agreeing that you are entitled to it.

If you cancel the whole order, we also refund the standard outbound delivery charge. If you selected a more expensive delivery service, only the standard delivery amount is refunded. For a partial return, the original delivery charge is not normally refunded unless required by law.

If a multi-buy discount applied, each returned coin is refunded at the amount actually paid for it after its allocated discount. We do not impose a penalty or retrospectively remove the discount from coins you keep.

Exchanges

To choose a different year or letter, you can return your coin under this policy and place a separate order, subject to availability. Contact us first if the coin supplied was incorrect or faulty.
